Terms of Use

Last updated September 14, 2026. These terms are a working draft for the public site. They are not a substitute for counsel. Replace entity name, address, and governing law when the company is formed.

1. The service

CompaOne is an entertainment service: chat and generated companions, including stills and motion. The marketing site is hosted on this domain. The application is at app.compaone.com. The API is at api.compaone.com. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for the account, password, and activity under it.

3. Accounts and plans

Hello is free and limited. Near, Close, and Here are paid memberships (prices shown on Plans). Until Stripe checkout is live, selecting a paid plan in the app does not charge a card. When checkout is live, paid features require an active subscription. Staff Role is not a consumer plan.

4. Companions and content

Original companions are provided by CompaOne. Companions you create are your content, licensed to us only as needed to operate the service (host, display to you, and if you set Public, list for other players who Enable them). You must have rights to anything you upload. We may remove content that breaks acceptable use.

5. AI output

Replies, stills, and clips are generated. They can be wrong, inconsistent, or unexpected. They are not advice, not a person, and not a commitment.

6. Availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. Demo and test hosts may be slower or unavailable. Production aims for a paid App Service with Always On; it is still provided “as is.”

7. Termination

You may stop using CompaOne at any time. We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.

8. Disclaimers and limits

See the Disclaimer. To the fullest extent allowed by law, CompaOne is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, companionship, or expected entertainment.
